Human migration in the late Upper Palaeolithic reached the North West of the North American continent by 15,000 YBP and continued initially, according to genetic evidence, along the Pacific Coast, through Central America and eventually to the South of the South American Continent by 13,000 YBP.

It is now known that Humans were living in the South American continent by approx 13,000 YBP, having travelled along the Eastern coast and headed South from initially entering North America from Asia.
